I've found that I can provide far more value to good causes through my photography than by other forms of donation, and have recently made a commitment to myself to spend at least two days a month doing charitable work.

Connect Reading - I am a member of "Connect Reading", a partnership between the business, public and voluntary sectors in Reading.

Through my membership I became aware of RESCUE (Rivers & Environmental Spaces Clean Up Event) and I am now volunteering on the Steering Committee for next years event.

Last October I spent four days volunteering for Oxford based Charity Africa Now photographing their work while travelling in Kenya.

During that same trip I also visited Nanyuki Childrens Home in Central Kenya taking photos and finding out about the children there to assist with fundraising for them.
